What have I done?

 

I ended my previous post with a detailed description of a particularly serious intrusion into my work. The question is, what have I done to deserve it?

Two days ago, on Wednesday June 7, I contacted the Department of Education with a complaint, which the Department duly acknowledged:

Thank you for getting in touch. We can confirm that we have received the information you submitted. A copy of your submission is below. Disclosure details: Since my arrival at Oxford in 1980 I addressed philosophers with a request 'Let us discuss Plato'. In vain. Nothing would please me more than if Arif Ahmed found me wrong in my conviction that philosophers at Oxford cannot discuss Plato with me
